WinTV v8.5 HD is the latest TV application from Hauppauge.

WinTV v8.5 is for use with WinTV-HVR hybrid and WinTV HD digital TV tuners

Watch, pause and record TV on Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista or Windows XP. If you have a Hauppauge TV tuner with FM radio, you can also listen to and record FM on your PC.

WinTV v8 features:

• A new user interface for Windows 8 and Windows 10
• Watch, pause, record and playback TV from Hauppauge TV tuners
• Closed captions and parental control (North America)
• New layout with better controls for live TV pause and playback
• Integrated TV recording scheduler so you can record your TV programs on a once only, daily or weekly schedule.
• TV source can be any Hauppauge TV tuner and HD PVR. Hauppauge TV tuners are for analog or digital cable TV, over-the-air digital TV, satellite TV or a cable or satellite set top box (check the specifications on your WinTV-HVR product since not all WinTV-HVRs support all TV formats)
• Multiple tuner support
• Logical channel numbers (Europe)

WinTV Extend has the following features

• With WinTV Extend, live TV can be streamed from your WinTV TV tuner (required) in the home or outside of the home via Wi-Fi or via the Internet. Note: streaming outside of the home requires you to open a port in your Internet router.
• Two ways to watch TV: any Internet browser on a Windows or Mac PC plus any Android device, or you can use the Hauppauge Extend iOS app for the iPhone or iPad
